After deciding that my jammed cd changer was unsalvageable, I pulled the trigger on a bluetooth adapter kit. It plugs into the DSP amp right where the changer used to. For the money I paid, this can’t possibly NOT work, right?

Those boxes are great! I had a Grom box in my 98 Accord. Worked perfectly, and even still kept the functionality of the steering wheel buttons. It even included a little microphone so I could go totally hands free. I forgot exactly how much it cost, but it was worth every cent.

The problem is that I have a BMW with the DSP sound system, which is notoriously uncooperative with aftermarket audio equipment. The box I ordered claims it’s DSP friendly, so I can only hope it works.

I have some janky Chinese box I paid $80 for, and it’s worked great for over a year now. Pairs up fast, mic is clear when making calls, etc.
Only think I wish it did was allow me to answer and hang up on calls via the steering wheel buttons like it SAID it would.

Oh yeah. I can’t really give you any feedback on compatibility on BMW’s, but the customer service was pretty great too, so I would imagine you’ll be in good hands. On a side note, my experience was so good I recently got a friend to get one for her CR-V. She loves it too.

My main concern is that mine is mounted in the trunk where the amp is. I’m worried the BT signal won’t be strong enough through the seats and sound deadening.

I have one in my S40. It works well, but I can’t shake the feeling it costs about five times as much as it should...

I’m pretty sure they just lie about that to try and make you justify purchasing their products.
I bought one for my A6 “WORKS WITH FACTORY SW CONTROLS.” But it didn’t.
